Instagram is testing search filters for the Reels tab for the first time, allowing users to sort recommended Reels by either ‘Latest’ or ‘Most Viewed’. While these clips would still be pushed through Instagram’s algorithm, the filters give users more control by letting them prioritize either recency or popularity within their personalized feed. Instead of endlessly scrolling through all recommended content, you could use the filter to only see the most recent or most viewed Reels tailored to your interests.
LinkedIn has proven to be much more than a professional network these days. Socialinsider published stats on the most engaging creative types on LinkedIn and these are the results. Coming out on top: multi-image posts lead with 6.6% engagement, followed by native docs (6.1%), videos (5.6%, increased from 4%), images (4.85%), polls (4.4%, doubled) and text posts (4%). Native documents and videos saw the most significant engagement increase compared to last year, now ranking among the top three best-performing formats on LinkedIn.
YouTube is currently offering creators free access to ‘Repurpose’. This app gives users the opportunity to transform videos posted on Instagram or TikTok into YouTube Shorts quickly and easily. The offer shows YouTube’s interest in engaging with creators and expanding their Shorts content. Instagram is rolling out a brand new twist on Stories called ‘Storylines’, a collaborative feature that lets you and your followers build shared story threads! Heading to the same event? You can now link your Stories together, creating one continuous Storyline with content from multiple users and perspectives. When added, your other connections can see the chain and even add their own stories, turning a single perspective into a bigger, shared collection.
