RIP Twitter
We have to admit it, when Chief Twit, aka Elon Musk, announces new developments, everybody is aware of it in no time. So this time in the Elon Musk-Twitter Saga: The end of Twitter. #RIPTwitter.
The next step to the future of humanity
The hashtag “RIPtwitter” is trending again after Twitter being merged with X Corp., according to an April 4 document submitted in a California court for a lawsuit. It’s unclear what the change means for Twitter but Elon did suggest in the past that buying Twitter would be an “accelerator” for creating “X”, or the “everything app.” The idea of the everything app is to have one single app that combines “everything”. From messaging to payments. The business tycoon tweeted on Tuesday about the change, using the single character “X”. At least he knows how to bring the end of twitter nicely. With the official introduction of “X,” Elon – as he so nicely nuanced himself – is taking the next step toward “the future of humanity.”
First, we gotta see it
The idea is to have a common “digital town square,” as Elon likes to call it himself – much like WeChat in China. One app that combines multiple functions, from messaging to video to payments. Industry experts question whether it will actually succeed and do not trust Elon. WeChat already tried to expand to Europe and the USA but failed miserably. Neither will this be the first time Elon has failed to deliver on his promises.
