Instagram : What is new!
Attention creators! As of December 2021, Instagram has reached 2 billion active users worldwide! It never stops growing, which means it also regularly introduces new functionalities. This week we want to introduce the newest features that make it easier to engage and share on the platform.
Reels have become an integral part of the platform. We see more and more that Instagram is once again fueling the battle with TikTok with a whole range of new possibilities. They’ve also transformed the experience on the platform in recent years, prioritizing short, vertical video content.
Three new features for you to make your Reels even more original and authentic.
A reel of up to 60 seconds is past tense. Instagram gives creators 30 extra seconds to take their Reels to the next level. The ability to import your own audio gives creators even more control over their content. Instead of being limited to existing tracks, you can now choose the exact piece of audio that fits your Reel and upload that audio on your own terms.
Have no idea what to do with that extra 30 seconds of Reel time? How about some extra interaction with your followers using interactive stickers? Previously you could only ask in your stories through a poll whether your followers like outfit 1 or 2 more, now you can do that in your fitcheck reels too. The poll, quiz and emoji slider are now all available in Reels.
Last but not least, Instagram is giving creators more control over their profiles, which is why you can now pin up to three posts within your profile! It’s a great way to highlight your favorite photos and Reels and make your profile even more reflective of yourself.
