Elon Musk’s Twitter management
A paid blue Twitter check mark, a gray check mark, no more paid blue check mark, employees who are fired, dismissed employees who are brought back and fake accounts of large organizations that send false messages into the world through tweets. Since Elon Musk has taken over Twitter, every corner has been swept through and that leads to great chaos. The same goes for the ticks.
Elon Musk has the plan to monetize the ‘blue tick’ on Twitter to make the Twitter Blue subscription more attractive. This check mark once guaranteed the authenticity of the Twitter user, but what remains if you can buy it? At the beginning of this month, Twitter tested the sale of this tick via the Twitter Blue subscription. However, Mr. Musk’s plan immediately backfired with many fake accounts pretending to be well-known people and companies. For example, a verified fake account of Eli Lilly (an international pharmaceutical company) tweeted a message that insulin is free, after which the share significantly decreased. A fake account of aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin also shared a message about an arms supply strike that caused their shares to fall as well.
Soon the blue check mark disappeared from the Twitter Blue subscription, but Twitter wants to bring the paid blue check marks back on November 29. According to Musk, the subscription service will be ‘solid as a house’ by then. And of course, Elon Musk himself was also trolled by many.
